Dr. John Colgan

Dr. John Colgan, commonly referred to as “Dr. John” by those he serves, is a renowned orthodontist based in Paducah. He is a part of a generational dental family, with roots deeply embedded in the dental profession. His orthodontic journey began after graduating from Saint Mary High School, leading him to Murray State University where he majored in Biology and Chemistry.

Dr. Andrew Tritle

Dr. Andrew Tritle is the son of a general dentist just like Dr. John. Seeing the positive impact and interactions that his father had with his patients, Dr. Drew realized from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. He feels blessed and truly grateful to have the opportunity to enhance the health and well being of those he serves through the practice of Orthodontics.

Dr. Drew is originally from Louisville Kentucky, where he graduated from Trinity High School. A lifelong Cardinal fan, he attended the University of Louisville, where he received his B.A. in Biology in 2008 and D.M.D. degree in 2012. It was at UofL where he met his future wife, Dr. John’s eldest daughter, Jennifer.

Upon graduation from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry Dr. Drew practiced as a dentist in the U.S. ARMY for four years, stationed at Ft. Campbell KY. After active duty service he and his family moved to Paducah where he operated Tritle Family Dentistry from 2016 to 2020. During this time he completed over 600 hours of continuing education courses, including US ARMY short courses, instruction at the Pankey Institute, as well as the Augusta University AAID MAXICourse.

This background in general dentistry gave Dr. Drew ample opportunity to see the effects that misalignment of teeth and jaws can have over the course of a lifetime. He has also seen the positive impact that properly aligned teeth and jaws can have on an individuals self confidence, self worth and oral health. He believes that ‘form follows function,’ and that a well designed smile is one that is both esthetic and promotes optimal health of the teeth, jaws and supporting structures. Seeing the impact, value and proactive nature of Orthodontics led me to pursue residency training at the Georgia School of Orthodontics in 2020. After three years of extensive training utilizing state of the art technology and advancements in the field, he earned his Certificate in Orthodontics from GSO in August of 2023 and has been excited to be working with the Colgan-Tritle team ever since!

Dr. Drew and his wife, Jennifer, share 4 children together, Daniel, Lilly, Violet, and James. Their Christian faith is very important to them and they are active parishioners at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah. They love spending time outdoors hiking and exploring or at the lake swimming and paddle boarding.

Kelly

Kelly, a University of Kentucky graduate in merchandising, apparel, and textiles, is part of our orthodontics team. She brings her dynamic work experience to enhance patient interactions and administrative efficiency at our office.

Audrey

Audrey, with a rich experience in orthodontics, joined Dr. John’s team in 2002 as a clinical technician. She enjoys building relationships with patients throughout their orthodontic journey.

Cindy

Cindy has been an orthodontic assistant since 1981 and joined Dr. Colgan’s team in 2014. Skilled in various orthodontic procedures, she contributes significantly to creating beautiful smiles at both Paducah and Murray locations.

Lauren

Joining Colgan Orthodontics in December 2019, Lauren found her passion in orthodontics during her dental assisting school. Having received her orthodontic treatment here, she feels right at home as part of the team.

Emily

Emily joined the Colgan Orthodontics in 2018. Her transition from assisting in general dentistry to orthodontics has been driven by the joy and satisfaction she finds in helping patients achieve their perfect smiles.

Ashley

Ashley became a part of Dr. John’s staff in July 2022 as a clinical technician, bringing many years of experience in orthodontics to the team. She values the professional and supportive environment at the practice.

Valerie

Valerie, the Financial Coordinator at Colgan & Tritle Orthodontics, joined in August 2022. With over two decades of experience in the orthodontic field, she plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of patient care.

Stacie

Stacie, joining the team in August 2021, has over two decades of experience in orthodontics. Her dedication and love for her work are evident in the care and precision she brings to her role as an orthodontic assistant.

Regenia

Regenia joined Dr. John’s staff in January 2021, transitioning from a 34-year tenure as a certified dental assistant in pediatric dentistry. She appreciates the supportive and learning-friendly environment at the office.

Mandy

Mandy, part of the Colgan & Tritle Orthodontics team since 1997, took a 17-year break to focus on her family. She rejoined the team, bringing her passion for patient care and enthusiasm for creating joyful smiles.

darla

Darla, joining the team in 2021, assists with scheduling and marketing coordination. She enjoys the fun, family atmosphere at Colgan & Tritle Orthodontics.
